Coming off our highly successful production of
The Sound of Music we wanted to showcase all the great opportunities to learn how to sing and dance at the Shedd at any age! We have a stellar line up of voice and dance faculty and array of dance classes to help you fine tune your singing and dancing skills.
Our instructor Laura Hiszczynskyj actually was a cast member of our production of,
The Sound of Music so she knows what it takes to be a performer. She is teaching 3 dance classes this winter term, Musical Theater Dance for Youth, Musical Theater Dance II and Tap Dance so there are multiple ways for you to learn from her expertise. For really young kids, ages 3-6, our faculty member Kellee Blanchard returns to Eugene with her dynamic movement and tumbling classes. Both of these instructors are available for private lessons too so you can get some great individual instruction!
If you are looking to improve your singing you can choose from 7 different instructors to book private lessons with! From longtime faculty members like Kathryn Leonard and Elaine Schultz to new faculty members like Juliana Urban, Katie Reuter and Andrea Johnson we have an array of faculty with varied backgrounds and experience. Be sure to visit the faculty page on our website and see which one would be a good fit!
Classes are always a fun way to get started on an instrument, such as Beginning Piano, or to make music with others, like Rock Band. Even if you missed the first term of Beginning Piano or Beginning Guitar, we are offering it again during the winter term so true beginners can get going right away!
