Till the Clouds Roll By is M-G-M's 1946 musical film that fictionalizes the life of composer Jerome Kern. It's presented as a retrospective, where Kern (played by Robert Walker) on opening night of his new Broadway musical, Show Boat reminisces about his career…a perfect excuse for M-G-M to showcase it's musical talent, including Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, Dinah Shore, June Allyson, Tony Martin, Angela Lansbury, Kathryn Grayson, Lena Horne, Van Heflin, Virginia O'Brien and Van Johnson.
