In February, Black History month, Amici musicians Victor Steinhardt, Jessica Lambert, Sharon Schuman, and Lillie Manis, invite guest cellist Kathryn Brunhaver to join them in a concert of works by black composers. The program includes William Grant Still’s Lyric Quartette, Le Chevalier de St. George’s Sonata in A Major for Violin and Piano, and String Quartet No. 2 “Forged Sanctuaries” by Jonathan Bailey Holland. The concert on February 12 concert is at The Shedd Institute for the Arts in Eugene. Tickets for this Shedd appearance are available through The Shedd Institute (541.434.7000 or theshedd.org).
