On The Road with Jimmy van Heusen
Fri, May 4 - Sun, May 13
Over the past 15 years we have presented more Jimmy Van Heusen songs than those of many of the more celebrated Songbook composers. There are two good reasons why—he was a superb composer, and he almost always wrote for films, not Broadway shows, which gave him a much larger audience. We have decided it was high time to give him his own show, and to include many song-writing gems we have not used previously. You’ll be surprised at the large number of Van Heusen hits you will know! The program includes "Aren’t You Glad You’re You", "But Beautiful", "Here’s That Rainy Day", "It Could Happen To You", "Moonlight Becomes You", "Suddenly It's Spring", and "Swinging On a Star", among many more.
