Chuck Redd and his jazz unit devote an evening to an annotated, all-instrumental exploration of the two major jazz outgrowths of Swing: Bebop and what would come to be called Cool. Look for “Shaw ‘Nuff”, “’Round Midnight”, “Confirmation”, “Hot House”, “Quasimodo”, “Groovin’ High”, “Salt Peanuts”, and “Lines For Lyons” along side bop and cool takes on standards such as “I Surrender Dear” and “Poor Butterfly”.
