Terry Burrell

Terry Burrell, who is currently in Thoroughly Modern Millie on Broadway, is of West Indian/American descent. Her other Broadway credits include leading roles in: Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods, Michael Bennett's Dream Girls, Eubie, Honky Tonk Nights, Barry Manilow's Copacabana and Swinging On A Star.

She was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award in the Best Actress category for her work in Duke Ellington's Queenie. Her regional credits include Swinging On A Star at Goodspeed Opera House, Aldonza in Man Of La Mancha, Eve in Arthur Miller's Up From Paradise, Diana Devereux in Gershwin's Of Thee I Sing, Ain't Misbehavin', and Sweet And Hot.

Her last New York appearances were in Sheila's Day and Kander and Ebb's As The World Goes 'Round. She is presently developing a one-woman piece on Ethel Waters.
