MATTHEW INGMAN has recently returned to Eugene after spending the previous 25 years as a freelance musician in New York, where he performed in a variety of musical settings ranging from big bands (Ed Palermo, Tony Corbiscello, Dale Wilson), Broadway pit orchestras (Baz Luhrmann’s Broadway adaptation of La Boheme, revivals of The Sound of Music, The Music Man, Guys and Dolls), recording studios (movie soundtracks of Mercury Rising, Sphere, The Castle, The Producers, Meet The Robinsons, Lucky Numbers), and various chamber groups and orchestras. His professional performing credits also include touring Japan with Maynard Ferguson’s Big Band, touring Europe with the Broadway musical 42nd St, and three years at West Point as a member of The United States Military Academy Band. Matt received his musical training at the University of North Texas, where he played in the world renowned One O’clock Lab Band. Before moving to New York, Matt spent four years as Instructor of Jazz Studies and Low Brass at Texas Wesleyan University, in Ft. Worth.
