In The Mood
Swinging with Glenn Miller & The Dorsey Brothers
Sun, Oct 14, 3:00 - 5:00 pm
Jaqua Concert Hall, The Shedd Institute
Let’s start the year off big! This will be a black tie big band affair with a mix of tunes drawn from the bands of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, and Jimmy Dorsey. We will be playing the hits from each of these bands including such unforgetable numbers as : "In The Mood", "Moonlight Serenade", "Song of India", "Pennsylvania 6-5000", "Green Eyes", "Tangerine", "Till There Was You", "Besame Mucho" and more! There will be angel trumpets and devil trombones, swinging rhythm sections, lush saxophones, and of course everything from solo guy and gal vocals to the big group vocal sounds of the era.
